Where does it go?
before
the main verb
- She always gets up early.
- I never drink coffee.
- They often play soccer.
after
the verb be
- He is usually late.
- We are always happy.
- It is never cold here.
Rule: the adverb goes before the main verb, but after the verb be.
Word order: subject + adverb of frequency + verb.
e.g. She always gets up early.
